Senior Financial Accountant needed in Dorset Paying  £27.05 per hr ref 376951

Full time hours on a temporary basis

 Key Responsibilities

• Support the preparation and delivery of annual statutory accounts and financial statements.
• Lead on capital accounting, treasury management activities, and statutory financial returns.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and reporting requirements.
• Liaise with external auditors, actuaries, valuers, and other professional advisors.
• Provide technical financial accounting expertise and guidance to finance teams and senior stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial accounting processes, controls, and systems.
• Support strategic financial planning, including capital programmes and medium-term financial strategies.
• Lead, develop, and mentor finance colleagues, promoting knowledge sharing and professional development.
• Build effective relationships with senior leaders, Chief Financial Officers, and operational stakeholders.
• Deputise for the Head of Financial Accounting when required, providing leadership and decision-making support.
