Environment Protection Officer  needed in Brynsworthy Paying  £35 per hr ref 5300123

Full time hours on a temporary basis

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate complaints relating to statutory nuisances, noise, pollution, air quality, contaminated land, and environmental protection matters. 
  • Carry out inspections, audits, monitoring and enforcement activities. 
  • Regulate industrial emissions and contribute to air quality management and pollution control initiatives. 
  • Provide environmental advice to businesses, residents, developers and partner organisations. 
  • Prepare reports, serve statutory notices, maintain records and undertake enforcement action where necessary. 
  • Support planning and licensing functions through consultation and technical advice. 
  • Work with agencies including the Environment Agency, DEFRA, Planning, Housing and Building Control teams. 
  • Represent the council in formal proceedings, meetings and partnerships when required. 
  • Contribute to community safety, environmental improvement and sustainable development objectives.
  • Keep up to date with environmental legislation, regulations and best practice
