Job Description:
Here is a Church of England primary academy catering for pupils aged 3–11, located in Thetford and part of the Diocese of Norwich Education and Academies Trust. Duties as Reception/Year 1 Teacher:- Deliver engaging lessons across Reception and Year 1
- Support pupils' transition from EYFS into Key Stage 1
- Create a nurturing, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment
- Plan and deliver creative learning experiences in line with the EYFS and KS1 curriculum
- Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress
- Foster children's social, emotional, and academic development
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching within EYFS and/or Key Stage 1
- Strong understanding of child development and early learning
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
- Ability to create engaging and inclusive learning opportunities
- Passion for supporting young children to achieve their full potential
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
