Reception / Year 1 Teacher - Long-term, temporary and ongoing, full-time starting September 2026

Here is a Church of England primary academy catering for pupils aged 3–11, located in Thetford and part of the Diocese of Norwich Education and Academies Trust. Duties as Reception/Year 1 Teacher:

• Deliver engaging lessons across Reception and Year 1
• Support pupils' transition from EYFS into Key Stage 1
• Create a nurturing, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment
• Plan and deliver creative learning experiences in line with the EYFS and KS1 curriculum
• Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress
• Foster children's social, emotional, and academic development
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents

Ideal Reception/Year 1 Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching within EYFS and/or Key Stage 1
• Strong understanding of child development and early learning
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
• Ability to create engaging and inclusive learning opportunities
• Passion for supporting young children to achieve their full potential
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
