We’re looking for a Mid-Level DevOps Engineer to join our Infrastructure Management team and help keep our cloud environment secure, reliable and scalable.

This is a hands-on position where you’ll work closely with software development teams to improve infrastructure, automate deployments and make it easier for engineers to build and release applications.

You’ll have the opportunity to work across cloud infrastructure, networking, Kubernetes, CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code while helping shape the way our engineering environment evolves.

• Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure across multiple environments.
• Monitor infrastructure performance and ensure systems meet reliability and availability targets.
• Manage core networking including routing, firewalls, VPCs, subnets and secure cloud connections.
• Support and maintain VPNs and dedicated cloud connectivity such as Direct Connect.
• Identify opportunities to improve infrastructure performance and reduce cloud costs.
• Ensure infrastructure follows strong security, reliability and high-availability practices.

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that enable reliable and efficient software releases.
• Develop reusable pipeline templates to make onboarding new services faster and easier.
• Design and maintain reusable Infrastructure-as-Code templates using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Troubleshoot failed builds and deployments and work with development teams to resolve issues quickly.
• Continuously improve deployment processes through automation and standardisation.

• Partner with software engineers to introduce and promote effective DevOps practices.
• Help development teams adopt infrastructure and deployment standards.
• Create documentation, runbooks and self-service tools that allow developers to troubleshoot issues independently.
• Share knowledge across engineering teams and act as a technical point of contact for infrastructure and platform-related issues.

• Maintain monitoring, metrics, logging and alerting across the infrastructure environment.
• Investigate infrastructure issues and identify the root cause of performance problems.
• Respond to alerts and incidents and help restore services quickly when issues occur.
• Support ongoing Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery testing and improvements.

• Work collaboratively within the Infrastructure Management team to deliver projects and sprint objectives.
• Look for opportunities to automate repetitive processes and remove manual work.
• Evaluate and introduce modern DevOps tools and engineering practices.
• Contribute to a strong culture of continuous improvement and technical ownership.

We’re looking for someone with 3 years of hands-on experience working in a DevOps, SysOps or CloudOps environment.

You’ll ideally bring:

• Strong experience working with AWS and/or GCP.
• Practical experience managing and troubleshooting Kubernetes environments.
• Strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes including EKS or GKE.
• Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using platforms such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Buildkite or Bamboo.
• Strong Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Scripting experience using Python and/or Bash.
• Solid networking knowledge covering DNS, VPCs, routing, subnets and VPN connectivity.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to communicate technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical teams.

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field is beneficial, though strong practical industry experience will also be considered.

You’ll be someone who enjoys getting hands-on with infrastructure and solving complex technical problems.

You’ll take ownership of issues from investigation through to resolution and be comfortable working in an environment where priorities can change quickly.

Most importantly, you’ll have an automation-first mindset and enjoy finding better ways to build, deploy, monitor and manage cloud infrastructure.

The role may occasionally involve after-hours support or scheduled on-call coverage as well as supporting other members of the Infrastructure Management team when required.
