Pearson Carter is working with a globally recognised design and consulting organisation seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer for its Brisbane technology team. You’ll help develop secure, scalable cloud infrastructure while supporting major cloud migration and modernisation initiatives across a global environment.

• Design, deploy and manage cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure.

• Build secure cloud networking solutions involving VPCs, VNets, routing, DNS, VPNs and private connectivity.

• Configure and manage firewalls, security groups and cloud security controls.

• Maintain and improve Infrastructure-as-Code using AWS CDK and TypeScript.

• Support cloud migrations, CI/CD infrastructure, system monitoring and technical troubleshooting.

Essential:

• At least five years of commercial experience working with AWS and/or Azure.

• Strong cloud networking experience across VPCs, VNets, subnets, routing, DNS and hybrid connectivity.

• Experience managing firewalls and security controls, ideally including Palo Alto.

• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools.

• Experience supporting CI/CD environments using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or Jenkins.

• Scripting experience with Python, Bash or PowerShell.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.

Desirable:

• AWS or Microsoft Azure certifications.

• Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments.

• Knowledge of zero-trust security, network segmentation and private networking.

• Experience using CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus or similar monitoring tools.

This position offers a salary of up to 180,000 super, depending on experience.
