Job Overview

Pearson Carter is working with a global IT services organisation that provides comprehensive IT support and infrastructure services to one of its largest clients, a global organisation with offices across the US and Europe.

They are looking for an IT Support Technician to join the Portland, Oregon team on an initial 6-month contract, with an indefinite extension possible.

This is an urgent, priority requirement with an immediate start. The successful candidate will work onsite and provide hands-on desktop and hardware support within a busy corporate environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite IT and desktop support to end users
• Support Windows 10/11 environments
• Configure, deploy and troubleshoot laptops and other IT hardware
• Commission and decommission laptops and IT equipment
• Prepare hardware for new starters and departing employees
• Assist with shipping, receiving and collecting IT equipment
• Troubleshoot hardware and desktop-related issues
• Support the wider global IT team and collaborate with teams across multiple locations
• Maintain a high level of customer service while resolving technical issues efficiently

Experience

• 1–3 years of experience in an IT support, desktop support or similar role
• Hands-on experience supporting Windows 10/11
• Experience working with laptops and IT hardware
• Comfortable configuring, deploying and troubleshooting hardware
• Experience commissioning and decommissioning IT equipment
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Able to work onsite in Portland, Oregon
• US-based candidates only

Salary/Package

• 20 per hour W2
• 6-month initial contract with indefinite extension
• Immediate start
• Onsite contract position

Location

Portland, Oregon – Onsite – 5 days a week
