We’re looking for an experienced IT Support / Infrastructure Technician to join a large resources organisation on a 3-month FIFO contract, with the potential to extend based on performance.

This is a hands-on site-based role supporting users and IT infrastructure across a remote mining environment.

• Provide Level 2/3 IT support across desktops, laptops, hardware, software and user issues.

• Troubleshoot networking, wireless, communications and connectivity issues.

• Provide basic support across servers and wider IT infrastructure.

• Work with technologies including Cisco, Dell, Cisco UCS, Pure Storage and wireless environments.

• Support remote site users and manage incidents through to resolution or escalation.

• Assist with general IT maintenance, troubleshooting and site technology requirements.

• Work closely with internal IT teams and external service providers to resolve more complex issues.

• Previous FIFO experience is essential.

• Strong Level 2/3 IT support experience in a hands-on environment.

• Good knowledge across desktop support, networking, wireless and infrastructure.

• Experience supporting users in mining, resources, utilities or another remote/site-based environment is highly desirable.

• Cisco experience is advantageous, with exposure to enterprise infrastructure such as Dell, UCS or Pure Storage a bonus.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Comfortable working independently in a remote and challenging environment.

• 3-month initial contract, with potential for extension.

• 60–80 per hour super
