Brisbane, Queensland Up to 180,000 Super

Pearson Carter is partnering with a globally recognised design and consulting organisation seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to join its Brisbane technology team.

You will help strengthen and modernise the organisation’s AWS and Azure environments, contributing to major cloud transformation projects while collaborating with engineering teams across multiple countries.

• Build, maintain and optimise cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure.

• Design secure cloud networking solutions across VPCs, VNets, subnets, routing, DNS, VPNs and private connectivity.

• Configure and manage firewalls, security groups and wider cloud security controls.

• Develop and improve Infrastructure-as-Code using AWS CDK and TypeScript.

• Support major cloud migration and platform modernisation programs.

• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment infrastructure.

• Monitor cloud environments, troubleshoot technical issues and improve platform reliability.

• Collaborate with engineering and technology teams across international locations.

• Five or more years of commercial cloud engineering experience.

• Strong hands-on experience across AWS and/or Azure.

• Advanced cloud networking knowledge, including VPCs, VNets, routing, DNS and hybrid connectivity.

• Experience configuring firewalls and network security controls, ideally Palo Alto.

• Practical Infrastructure-as-Code experience.

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or Jenkins.

• Scripting experience using Python, Bash or PowerShell.

• A relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.

• AWS or Microsoft Azure certifications.

• Multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud experience.

• Knowledge of zero-trust security, private networking and network segmentation.

• Experience with AWS CDK, Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Familiarity with CloudWatch, Azure Monitor or Prometheus.

• Salary of up to 180,000 super, depending on experience.
