Pearson Carter are working with a long-established and highly regarded regional law firm, providing a broad range of legal services to businesses, individuals and organisations. With a strong focus on client relationships, legal expertise and delivering high-quality services, the firm continues to invest in its people, technology and wider business infrastructure.

They are now seeking an experienced IT Developer to take ownership of their core applications, systems and technology solutions. The successful candidate will work across Microsoft Power Platform, VisualFiles, Microsoft 365, .NET, SQL and third-party integrations, supporting the development, automation and integration of business-critical case management and operational systems.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced IT professional with strong technical knowledge to take greater ownership of systems and solutions, working closely with stakeholders and IT colleagues to deliver practical, secure and business-focused technology.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Microsoft Power Platform solutions, including Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI.
  • Manage and support VisualFiles workflows, templates, scripts and data structures.
  • Automate business processes to improve efficiency, accuracy and user experience.
  • Manage integrations between VisualFiles, Power Platform, Microsoft 365 and third-party systems.
  • Support .NET applications, modules and extensions across business systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across applications, databases and integrations.
  • Oversee testing, documentation, security and solution quality.
  • Gather requirements and work with stakeholders to deliver effective technology solutions.
  • Take ownership of technical projects, system improvements and ongoing development.
  • Support the wider IT function and contribute to technology planning and continuous improvement.

Experience

  • Strong commercial experience managing and supporting business-critical IT systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Experience working with VisualFiles or similar case management/workflow platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
  • Experience integrating systems using REST APIs, Dataverse and third-party platforms.
  • Understanding of .NET / C# or similar object-oriented development.
  • Experience with system troubleshooting, testing, documentation and release processes.
  • Good understanding of SDLC, version control and development best practices.
  • Experience managing technical projects and working with business stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities, deadlines and multiple technical workstreams.
  • Experience within legal or professional services environments would be beneficial.

Salary

Salary is dependent on experience and looking to go up to £60k.

Location

This is a hybrid role where you are expected in the office in Dudley twice a week.
