Environmental Health Officer needed in North London Paying  £22.79 per hr ref OR116206

Full time hours on a temporary basis

•  Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate complaints relating to noise nuisance, including construction site noise, amplified music, barking dogs, and other statutory nuisance matters.
  • Respond to reports of pest infestations and undertake appropriate investigations and enforcement activities.
  • Investigate environmental concerns such as fly-tipping, bonfires, waste accumulation, and other public health nuisances.
  • Assess complaints, gather evidence, conduct site visits, and determine appropriate courses of action.
  • Provide advice and guidance to residents, businesses, contractors, and stakeholders regarding environmental health legislation and best practice.
  • Prepare reports, maintain accurate records, and update case management systems.
  • Undertake enforcement action where necessary in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments, external agencies, and community stakeholders to resolve environmental health issues.
  • Ensure investigations are completed within service standards and statutory timescales.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment for residents and visitors.
