A leading engineering manufacturer with a long-standing reputation for delivering high-quality solutions across the Power, Oil & Gas, Nuclear and Industrial sectors is seeking a skilled Service & Repair Engineer to join its growing team.

This is a varied role combining customer-facing field service work with hands-on workshop-based engineering. You'll have the opportunity to work on complex equipment, supporting customers across the UK and beyond while developing your technical expertise within a well-established engineering business.

As a Service & Repair Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out installation, commissioning, repair and maintenance activities at customer sites.

You'll act as the primary point of contact on-site, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. When not attending customer sites, you will support overhaul, repair, assembly and testing activities within the workshop.

• Carry out installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair activities at customer sites
• Diagnose faults and provide effective engineering solutions
• Act as the main customer contact during site activities
• Supervise customer personnel, contractors and third-party labour where required
• Ensure all work complies with health & safety, environmental and quality requirements
• Participate in risk assessments and promote safe working practices
• Deliver projects to agreed specifications, schedules and quality standards
• Support the overhaul, assembly, inspection and testing of equipment
• Work closely with engineering and management teams to resolve technical challenges
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and efficient resource utilisation

The successful Service & Repair Engineer will ideally have:

• Previous field service or site-based engineering experience
• Experience working on large scale industrial machinary
• Mechanical and/or electrical engineering experience
• Experience within the Power, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas or related industries
• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
• Engineering qualification such as an Apprenticeship, HNC, Technical Certificate or equivalent experience

• HV Electrical qualifications
• Installation and commissioning experience
• Offshore safety certifications
• Overhead Crane or Slinger certification

Please note this role requires circa 120 days international travel per year in 2-6 week blocks, and the successful candidate must be prepared to go through basic security clearance.
