Remote Up to £53,500 Permanent

An established UK organisation is strengthening its Data and Insights function and is looking for an experienced professional to help improve how information is captured, governed and used across the business. This position sits between data strategy, hands-on analytics and business engagement. You will work with teams throughout the organisation to identify their information needs, address data-quality challenges and turn complex datasets into clear insights that support better decisions. Alongside developing reporting and analytical solutions, you will help introduce consistent definitions, standards and working practices across a modern Microsoft data environment.

• Help shape and deliver the organisation’s wider data and insight roadmap.

• Engage with stakeholders to understand operational challenges and reporting requirements.

• Create meaningful dashboards, reports and semantic models using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.

• Analyse complex information and communicate findings in a clear, practical way.

• Improve the collection, structure, accuracy and accessibility of organisational data.

• Build reliable ingestion, transformation and integration processes.

• Support data throughout its lifecycle, from initial capture through to reporting and strategic insight.

• Define shared metrics, terminology and quality standards.

• Strengthen governance across security, ownership, lineage and regulatory compliance.

• Monitor Fabric usage and identify opportunities to improve capacity and control costs.

• Connect data from Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Microsoft 365, Azure and external platforms.

• Use statistical techniques, forecasting or machine learning where they can add genuine value.

• Lead discovery sessions, workshops and training for technical and non-technical audiences.

• Previous experience as a Senior Data Analyst, Data Strategist, BI Analyst or in a comparable position.

• Strong practical knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.

• Advanced Power BI capability, including DAX, data modelling and dashboard design.

• Experience working with Dynamics 365 and Dataverse data.

• A solid understanding of semantic models, data lineage, quality management and governance.

• Experience designing data solutions that cover ingestion, transformation, modelling and reporting.

• Knowledge of Fabric capacity management and cost optimisation.

• Experience integrating information across Microsoft and third-party technologies.

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to investigate complex business problems.

• Confidence working directly with senior stakeholders and operational teams.

• The ability to translate business questions into effective data products.

• Strong organisation skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.

• Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate certification.

• Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate certification.

• Azure Data Engineer Associate certification.

• Experience using R, RStudio or another statistical-analysis tool.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Customer Voice.

• Experience working within a charity or purpose-led organisation.

• Knowledge of Agile delivery methods.

• Understanding of Power Platform and Dataverse architecture, governance and security.

• Knowledge of GDPR and wider data-protection responsibilities.

• Experience delivering workshops, presentations or user training.

• Salary up to £53,500

• 26 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays

• An additional five days of annual leave after two years’ service

• Genuine influence over organisation-wide data standards and strategy

• Occasional travel to Central London and other UK locations

This is a mainly remote position. You will need to attend the organisation’s Central London office or other UK sites occasionally for meetings, workshops and collaborative work.
