Credit Control Officer needed in Portsmouth

This is a temporary role and the rate is £13.44ph PAYE

The successful candidate will take responsibility for a designated portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring all income billed through the sundry debtor ledger is collected within agreed payment terms. They will proactively monitor aged debt, follow up outstanding balances through timely calls and written communication, and resolve customer queries by working closely with internal teams and external customers.

They will negotiate suitable repayment arrangements when required, provide informed recommendations on the most effective approach to managing overdue debt, and maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records within the financial systems. The successful candidate will also handle telephone payments, produce monthly reports, and contribute positively to a collaborative team focused on maximising income collection.
