Head of Scrutiny & Assurance needed in North Wales Paying  £30.93 per hr ref 378012

Full time hours on a temporary basis

•  Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation and monitoring of the Plan, ensuring delivery against agreed priorities.
  • Provide strategic advice, analysis and performance information to support the client in holding them accountable.
  • Develop and oversee scrutiny frameworks covering performance, criminal justice, equality, complaints and community safety.
  • Lead the scrutiny, policy and assurance functions, ensuring robust governance and accountability arrangements.
  • Manage and develop a team of Scrutiny Officers, Policy Officers and Analysts, ensuring effective performance and professional development.
  • Produce high-quality reports, briefings and recommendations.
  • Evaluate performance data, identify emerging risks and trends, and recommend corrective action where required.
  • Lead organisational policy development, review and implementation to support priorities and statutory responsibilities.
  • Work closely with senior leaders, partner agencies and elected representative support strategic objectives.
  • Support organisational change and transformation projects, ensuring alignment with the vision and priorities.
  • Contribute to strategic responses to inspections, consultations, policy developments and legislative changes
