Senior Area Facilities Officer needed in Southwark

This is a temporary role and the rate is £24.43ph PAYE

The successful candidate will provide efficient, effective and economic advice and support as the intelligent client for a diverse estate of approximately 350 mixed‑use buildings, directly managing and influencing facilities services across 150 operational properties. They will support FM operational delivery, compliance, reactive maintenance and small project work, building strong relationships with departmental representatives, building managers and end users.

They will deliver agreed FM services across an allocated portfolio, ensuring statutory and mandatory compliance and creating optimum working environments aligned to modern working practices. They will manage FM services to a value of £250k, ensuring high‑quality, cost‑effective service delivery. They will proactively engage with customers to understand business needs, lead and support a team of Facilities Managers to ensure buildings are inspected, audited and safe, respond to urgent property issues, maintain robust emergency procedures, keep senior FM leaders fully briefed on performance and compliance, and specify and commission repair, maintenance and improvement works within agreed budget parameters.
