Pearson Carter are working with a specialist Microsoft Dynamics partner to recruit a Lead Technical Business Central Finance Consultant.

You’ll lead finance workstreams across multiple Business Central implementations, combining finance expertise with technical knowledge of integrations, APIs and solution design. You’ll work closely with customers, developers and solution architects to deliver successful implementations, optimise financial processes and mentor colleagues.

Microsoft Dynamics Partner experience is essential.

• Lead finance discovery, requirements gathering and solution design.
• Own finance workstreams from discovery through to go-live and support.
• Configure Business Central finance modules, including GL, purchasing, sales, VAT, fixed assets and cash management.
• Define and deliver integrations using REST APIs, OData, web services and JSON.
• Produce functional and technical specifications, data mappings and process documentation.
• Use Postman, Swagger or equivalent tools to test and troubleshoot integrations.
• Lead finance data migration, reconciliation, integration testing and UAT.
• Manage technical risks, project priorities, budgets and deadlines.
• Deliver customer workshops, demonstrations, training and post-go-live support.
• Mentor consultants and improve delivery standards.

• Significant Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience.
• Strong finance configuration and process knowledge.
• Proven experience leading finance workstreams or end-to-end implementations.
• Practical experience delivering Business Central integrations.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, OData, JSON and web services.
• Understanding of Microsoft Entra ID, OAuth 2.0 and application registrations.
• Experience with data migration, reconciliation, testing and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and stakeholder management skills.
• Previous experience working for a Microsoft Dynamics implementation partner.

• Power Platform, Dataverse, Power Automate or Azure Logic Apps.
• Azure integration services, including Service Bus, Functions or API Management.
• AL extensions, events and API pages.
• Integrations with CRM, e-commerce, banking, payroll or reporting systems.
• Business Central certifications or relevant Microsoft Applied Skills.
• Accountancy qualification or finance background.

• Salary up to £75,000.

UK-based, remote-first, with occasional UK travel for customer workshops, training and meetings.

Standard hours are 9:00am–5:30pm Monday to Thursday and 9:00am–5:00pm Friday.
