Pearson Carter is working with a growing Australian technology provider looking to expand its software engineering team in Brisbane. This is an opportunity to build and improve business-critical applications, develop backend integrations and deliver automation solutions within a collaborative engineering environment.

With opportunities available at both Mid-Level and Senior levels, you'll work on meaningful projects with genuine ownership and the ability to influence technical decisions.

• Design, develop and maintain backend applications using Python and/or C#/.NET.

• Build and integrate REST APIs connecting internal platforms, customer systems and third-party services.

• Develop automation solutions to streamline business processes and improve operational efficiency.

• Maintain and enhance existing applications while contributing to new features and system improvements.

• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable and maintainable software.

Essential:

• Commercial software development experience using Python and/or C#/.NET.

• Strong backend development experience, including REST APIs and third-party integrations.

• Experience working with SQL databases and maintaining production applications.

• Understanding of software development best practices, testing and version control.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently within a collaborative team.

Desirable:

• Experience with Django, FastAPI or ASP.NET.

• Knowledge of Linux, Docker, CI/CD pipelines or cloud technologies.

• Frontend experience with JavaScript, TypeScript or Vue.js.

• Exposure to automation, AI-assisted development tools or AI/LLM agents.

• Telecommunications, networking or ISP industry experience.

Competitive salary packages depending on experience:

• Mid-Level Software Engineer: 120,000–125,000 Super

• Senior Software Engineer: Up to 150,000 Super

Brisbane, Queensland – Hybrid

3 days per week in the office and 2 days working from home.
