Control Systems Engineer – Ignition SCADA Brisbane

Take ownership of varied automation projects with a specialist engineering consultancy delivering solutions across mining, heavy industry and utilities. You’ll join a collaborative Queensland team, developing your PLC and Ignition SCADA expertise through projects from initial design to commissioning.

• Design and develop PLC, HMI and SCADA solutions that improve plant reliability and performance.

• Take projects through design, programming, testing and site commissioning.

• Produce functional specifications, test documentation and operating manuals.

• Work with clients and multidisciplinary engineers to translate operational requirements into practical control solutions.

• Troubleshoot systems and contribute to engineering standards and continuous improvement.

Essential:

• Five or more years of control systems design and development experience.

• At least two years of hands-on Ignition SCADA experience.

• PLC programming and fault-finding experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens or Schneider platforms.

• A degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline.

• Clear communication skills and confidence working with clients and project teams.

Advantageous:

• Citect/Plant SCADA or FactoryTalk View experience.

• SQL database integration, Python scripting and industrial protocols such as Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT or EtherNet/IP.

• Experience delivering projects in mining, heavy industry or utilities.
