Technical Officer needed in Loughborough Paying  £27 per hr ref OR121567

Full time hours on a temporary basis

 Key Responsibilities

• Assess properties and identify suitable adaptations to meet the needs of disabled and vulnerable individuals.
• Visit customers in their homes to carry out surveys, inspections and technical assessments.
• Prepare detailed specifications, schedules of work, cost estimates and technical drawings for adaptation projects.
• Provide technical advice and guidance to customers, colleagues, contractors and partner agencies.
• Manage projects through the adaptation process, ensuring works are delivered on time and within budget.
• Carry out financial assessments and determine eligibility for grant-funded works where applicable.
• Monitor and inspect works throughout construction to ensure compliance with building regulations, health and safety requirements and technical standards.
• Liaise with Occupational Therapists, contractors, architects, building professionals and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Manage contractor performance, approve variations and resolve technical issues during construction works.
• Evaluate and certify interim and final payments following satisfactory completion of works.
• Maintain accurate project records and update electronic systems and databases.
• Review construction specifications and costings to ensure quality, consistency and value for money.
• Carry out risk assessments and ensure appropriate control measures are implemented.
• Support colleagues across the wider technical team as required.
• Attend site visits, meetings and inspections as necessary.
