Senior Validation Engineer - Optics / RF / Smith Charts / Python

 We are currently working with a leading semiconductor company based in Bristol who are leading supplier of high-quality analog and mixed-signal semiconductor products. 

This role is a great opportunity to join a fantastic team who are suppliers of laser driver, TIA, and integrated transceiver ICs to the optical communications market.

As a  Senior Validation Engineer  your responsibilities will be;

• Responsible for the operation for the semi-automated probe station.
• Test, validation and characterisation of high frequency and high bit rate circuits and components in semiconductor technologies. (e.g. Silicon BiCMOS, Silicon CMOS, GaAs etc)
• Use Python scripting for controlling complex equipment
• Setup and calibration of equipment 
• Performing detailed transistor elvel measurements for modelling activities 

As a   Senior Validation Engineer your skills will include;

• Prior experience working as a validation engineer in a semiconductor company
• Understanding of RF / high frequency measurement techniques 
• Python scripting experience 
•  Familiarity with making RF measurements in a lab.
• Strong Optics / Optical background.
