Title – Maintenance Engineer

Location – Stanford-le-hope

Salary – £42,000 + Overtime available

Shifts – (4-week rotations Mon-Fri) 2 weeks of earlies, 1 week of afternoons, 1 week of nights

As a Maintenance Engineer you will be working for one of the world’s largest parcel delivery business. They have been established well over 100 years with no sign of them slowing down! My client has over 50 sites across the UK with this site being at the full front of automation. Due to such a high number of sites you will have endless opportunity to work your way up in the business or site step in to a different role. This is a career and not just a job!

Role

As a Maintenance Engineer you will be working on various cutting-edge machine which include conveyor systems, Sortation equipment, tilt trays and boom unloads which are all full automated. Along with this you will:

• Perform reactive maintenance on both electrical and mechanical components such as sensors, proximities, relay, control panel and bearing, belts, gearboxes, pneumatic systems
• Complete preventive maintenance such general checks, heat/friction tests, electrical testing with a multi meter.
• Electrical work will include reading through electrical schematics, utilizing electrical test equipment such as multi-meters and fault finding on panels
• Be expected to swap components like for like and stripping a rebuild- Most components are readily available in the store.

Candidate

As a Maintenance Engineer you will need an:

• Electrical qualification
• The ability to fault find
• Apprentice trained or level three in electrical.
• 2 years’ experience in an industrial environment.
