This is working full time hours on a temporary basis.

To lead the modernisation and improvement of the Enforcement and Appeals functions, providing innovation, team motivation and effective staff management that ensures constant development and advancement of the team and outcomes To lead a team of professional staff investigating breaches of planning control and securing compliance and dealing with related planning applications and appeals in accordance with planning legislation and priorities. Oversee the effective management of the Planning Appeals function. To lead, as appropriate, negotiations on development proposals to achieve outcomes to meet objectives. To provide timely and relevant advice in relation to developments to members, relevant Committees, Public Inquiries, public meetings and local people, ensuring a high standard of customer service. To exercise statutory decision making functions in accordance with the Scheme of Officer Delegated Powers and Standing Orders, as they relate to Development Management and Enforcement and Appeals.
