Lead iOS Engineer – REMOTE WORKING UK Based

Working for a fast growing e-commerce organisation you will lead and manage a team of engineers whilst contributing technically to projects and advance the feature-rich application using the latest technologies and trends. You will look to work with Engineering, Product and Design teams to add new features on the platform and optimise user journeys.

This is a remote role but the successful candidate will need to be based in the UK in order to attend meetings once or twice per month.

Responsibilities:

• Domain expert for iOS projects
• Planning and facilitating the technical roadmap for the iOS application
• Build, mentor and manage a team of Engineers
• Overseeing the delivery of software into production
• Working alongside the Head of with debugging the team
• Designing solutions that best suit the problem statement
• Supporting in the delivery of the Product vision to the team
• Working within an Agile environment

Experience needed:

• Strong understanding of engineering best practices and technologies for example – Swift, UIKit, Alamofire, XCTest, Realm, Rx and Objective C etc.
• Strong understanding of UI/UX, Web APIs and iOS SDK
• Management and coaching of a team of mobile developers
• Able to explain technical concepts to non-technical people
• Relevant experience working on market-leading applications
• Excellent understanding of SOLID Principles, OO and DDD
• Strong understanding of and experience with testing practices
• Ability to demonstrate fit for purpose solutions
