Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, with strong experience of driving transformational change across Azure & Azure AD cloud services.
 
You will be joining a fast growing fintech company, based in Hereford, who specialise in payment and financial services. You will be working in an exciting, dynamic team, in a highly productive and engaging role, supporting and delivering agile and leading-edge cloud solutions within the Azure platform.
 

Working within the IT Infrastructure services team, the Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will be helping to drive transformational change across our Azure cloud services. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and governing our Azure environment, with a focus on monitoring and automation and continual improvement of the solution. Supporting a team of Architects you will lead technical build, deployment and support within the Infrastructure team, including knowledge sharing and organising team activities to drive Azure capabilities forward.

We actively encourage dedicated training plans and focus on knowledge transfer within and between teams.  This is an ideal opportunity to consolidate your training and join a team actively leveraging a significant proportion of Azure services on client facing production systems.

A good knowledge of Windows server operating systems and Hyper-V Clusters will be an advantage to support further transition to Azure services.

Knowledge of Azure DevOPS will also be advantageous as you will be working in an Agile team using DevOPS to support releases to Development, Staging and Production environments for an ever-growing portfolio of critical financial applications and highly compliant payment processing solutions.

Required Skills:

•  Excellent background as an infrastructure engineer.

• PowerShell and scripting experience, (YAML and KUSTO an advantage)

• Strong experience of supporting Azure Cloud Services.

• Strong experience of supporting on-prem and cloud services

• Excellent experience of Windows Server, IIS, SQL Server, Active Directory

• Experience of Biztalk an advantage

• Good experience of IP networks across firewalls, routing & switching, VLANS and VPNs and remote access

• Excellent communication & stakeholder management experience
