Build and Release manager
Agilis recruitment are supporting a key client in their search of a build and release manager this is a fantastic opportunity for someone to take ownership of all Application lifecycle management and release and configuration activities associated with their on-prem and Azure cloud platforms.
This is a unique opportunity not to be missed and will be a crucial role working along side a talented technology team in defining and implementing their technology road map.
Responsibilities:
- Develop Release Management framework and implement standards, processes, and controls for configuration and release activities across the organisation.
- Architect and implement metrics required to bring transparency into the migration of code from development, testing, staging, through production.
- Setup and maintain code repositories, development branches, merges, etc. as needed for release builds.
- Design, implement and configure build environment for projects including automated builds, packaging and installation processes.
- Oversee the service reliability and software quality control for releases.
- Maintain configuration information, release history for all environments, and communication to all stakeholders.
- Maintain up to date documentation in support of the different platforms/programmes and BAU
Essential:
- Good understanding of Dev/Build/Test process in a typical software development life cycle (SDLC), using Azure DevOps and preferably with Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations exposure.
- Good knowledge of Azure DevOps Branching and code merging/code promotion and changeset management.
- Good knowledge of Azure DevOps Build Pipelines.
- Good understanding of Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, and LCS tools / capabilities related to Release and Application Lifecycle. Management including a good understanding of continuous update strategy.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent problem solving and documentation skills.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills both written and verbal.
- Are proactive, self-motivated and independent.
Desired:
- Computer Science degree or equivalent educational qualification.
- Knowledge of Azure Cloud Infrastructure.
- Experience of Finance, Manufacturing and Distribution
- Demonstrated Stakeholder engagement.
