Recycling project support officer needed in London £110per day ref 408561

This is working full time hours on a temporary basis.

The applicant will need their own personal transport for this role. The Street Scene service is looking for a flexible and reliable officer to coordinate and lead a new project to reduce the contamination of recycling collected from households. Reducing the contamination of recycling is integral to the work to maximise recycling and minimise waste sent for disposal. This trial will help the client identify the best method of educating residents to “recycle right”, while working with our collection crews to ensure best practice. This will be a temporary role focused on planning and delivering a trial, involving some early starts (start times can vary from 6am to 8 am) working outdoors as well as at the depot and from home. Applicants will need their own transport and a willingness to work in all weather conditions. This project will require the ability to monitor residents’ waste behaviours, work closely with our collection crews (with appropriate measures in place in relation to COVID-19), compile and analyse monitoring data accurately, and produce a project report.
