Due to expansion, we are supporting a global engineering business on a huge recruitment drive at their site in the heart of Leicester.  The business who specialise within packaged products are a reputable name within the food & beverage market and produce over 2 billion units per annum, cementing them as one of the giants of the industry.  The company who have been in operation for the last 40 years employ over 240 staff and boast an impressive portfolio of manufactured goods.

These goods are some of UKs most recognisable brands of which have become a staple part of British homes shopping lists. With a turnover eclipsing £170 million the business is going from strength to strength and are set to grow even further in 2021 due to investment of new production lines.

The client is keen to speak to Mainteannce technicians from an automated environment; FMCG, high speed production, automated distribution, automotive. Alternatively, to this, our client is also keen to interview Ex - Armed forces engineers.  

About you

To be considered for the maintenance technician role, you should have the following;

• Understanding of mechanical engineering
• Ability to use mechanical hand tools and measuring equipment.
• Experience working within a technical environment; engineering, motor mechanics, armed forces.
• An eye for detail with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Recognised Mechanical qualification (level 3)

About the role

As a maintenance technician,  you will be responsible for front end maintenance on face moving production machinery. This will be a 100% mechanical role and you will have the responsibility of keeping breakdown time to a minimum, improving machine efficiency and working in conjunction with the groups LEAN and continuous improvement plans.

Further responsibilities include;

• Quality checks
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
