Profectus Recruitment is recruiting for a 2nd line Support Engineer to join our client based in Reading on a 12 month FTC. You will be joining a large and very well established company where you will sit as part of a well-structured Infrastructure team.

As the 2nd line support engineer you will be required to work with others to provide excellent support and troubleshooting. The team you will work a part of also has a focus on Cloud support, Security, major incidents, maintenance of technology, hardware/software upgrades and more. This role would suit someone who has operated at 2nd line for a while now and has recently worked on or supported users of Cloud Technologies, AWS or Azure being the preference. In addition to this the client is looking for someone who is experienced and comfortable working with O365, Active Directory, Windows 10, Windows OS and more (please see below for other skills).

Role Responsibilities;

  • Provide excellent 2nd line Support
  • Contribute towards 3rd line Support
  • Identify and flag IT risks
  • Monitor the security of technologies used
  • Provide hardware and software support

 Skills Required;

  • Windows Operating Systems
  • AWS and or Azure
  • O365
  • Cisco Webex / MS teams
  • Domain management experience
  • Active Directory
  • MS Exchange
  • Networking

Due to the ongoing Covid situation the client are currently working remotely. They will look to reopen the office when safe to do so. Initially this role will be working from home but the expectation is once the office is open in a Covid secure way you will need to work from their offices in Reading.
