Based in Guildford paying £18.64ph PAYE

This is a full time temporary contract role.

Our client is looking for a Home Check Project Officer.

To provide a client focused service to elderly, disabled and vulnerable persons within specific areas by offering advice and support to improve living conditions.

The successful candidate will deal with enquiries from residents seeking to take up services offered. They will provide a client led technical service for elderly disabled and vulnerable clients and provide advice on the eligibility criteria for funding works to privately owned and tenanted homes.

They will help maintain suitable financial and client records and ensure all payments are made for Handyperson service. Liaise with clients, the Handyperson contractors, care and repair staff and partners to ensure all open cases are progressed to a satisfactory conclusion.

They will visit clients in their homes to discuss their housing needs and ways of meeting those needs, undertake energy audits to improve comfort levels and reduce energy bills, liaise with the surveyors to arrange surveys to be carried and identify sources of other financial help that may be available by providing accurate advice on welfare benefits and effectively encourage clients to obtain the help to which they are entitled.
