Project Engineer – Recycling / Waste

6 Month Contract

£300 - £350 per day (Ltd)

London

Our client is a leading player in the challenge to solve some of the key environmental problems across the world.  

They are looking to engage with an experienced Project Engineer to assess and plan where necessary the upgrade and replacements required on the equipment within the UK facility.

Initially you will produce a report for the business highlighting what actions you feel need to be taken which will then be agreed with management. Once actions are agreed you will take the lead on each project with support from internal and external resources.

Duties of the Project Engineer will include:

• Create a plant assessment and report
• Liaise with 3^rd party manufacturers and suppliers
• Create and maintain a detailed project plan for each action
• Take ownership of each action from order to installation and sign off
• Produce and present regular reports to internal stake holders
• Monitor compliance, health and safety and quality issues
• Work closely with external contractors, hold regular meetings, induct personnel, provide permits to work and oversee contractor works onsite
• Control budgets and timelines
• Organise and attend any training required for new equipment

The successful candidate will come with the following skills and experience:

• Proved Project Engineering experience in heavy industrial or waste environments
• IOSH – Managing Safely or Equivalent
• Experience on large projects
• Personnel management, effective communication, planning and organisation
• Engineering design knowledge
• Mechanical engineering background
• Competent with third party management
• Qualified to HNC Level or above in engineering (mechanical)
