Role – Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)

Salary - £37000-38000 (rising) plus holiday, pension, bonus scheme with a generous salary grading

Hours - Panama

Overtime rate – 1.5, 2.0

Location – Doncaster

An exciting role on offer for an experienced Electrical Bias Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to join a leading packaging company where you will work on an array of state of the art machinery whilst having the opportunity to progress your career in the engineering world.

My client is a market leader in the packaging sector and despite the Covid-19 pandemic, they have grown from strength to strength and have never been busier. With further growth plans and winning projects coming in, they are looking recruit another experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their site in Doncaster and work alongside a team of highly experience engineers.

Role of the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Day to day you will carry out planned, preventive maintenance and installation work on their complex automated machinery.

-        Fault find and maintenance, both mechanically and electrically on specialists’ machinery including hydraulics, pneumatics, sealers, spiral wrapping, shrink, bagging and many more

-        To aid continuous improvements and project work as requested

-        To communicate with the production shift manager indicating realistic timescales on major breakdowns to keep production informed on progress of breakdowns

-        Work in line with the company’s Health and Safety standards

-        To work safely using the correct PPE as required in risk assessments

Ideal Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

To be considered for the role you will need to have the following skills and attributes:

-        Served a full apprenticeship NVQ level 3 (or equivalent, ONC electrical/electronic engineering) preferably within an FMCG environment

-        17^th edition wiring regulations would be advantageous

-        Ability to work quickly under pressure

-        Excellent problem-solving skills

-        Ability to manage a varied workload

-        HNC is an advantage but not essential

-        Knowledge of PLC’s and able to check basic fault finds

-        Assertiveness with the ability to make decisions on the spot
