Machine Tool Fitter – Special Purpose Machinery

£17.98 per hour (Ltd/Umbrella)

1 Month Contract Initially

My client is a leading manufacturer of special purpose machinery, automation equipment and manufacturing machines.

They are looking to engage with an experienced Mechanical Fitter to assist with the build and install phases of a multiple projects.    

The role of a Mechanical Fitter will include the following:

• Building various types of machinery from engineering drawings & general assembly drawings
• Assembly of sub-assemblies
• General fitting work
• Drilling & Tapping
• Working to tight tolerances
• Some basic MIG welding 

The candidate must possess the following skills & experience to be considered for this role:

• Previously built and installed Special Purpose Machinery for the Automotive, Nuclear and Aerospace industries
• Able to work from Engineering drawings
• Experience candidate able to hit the ground running
• Overhead Crane license (Desirable)
• Able to multitask and prioritise own workload
• Adhere to Company Health and Safety policies
• Good communication skills
