Engineering Manager- Banking, Java, React, Microservices

We are hiring for an Engineering Manager to work for a Consulting firm on a permanent basis, working indefinitely on a large Programme of work for a significant Bank.

The division are building out brand new Digital Platforms for their Global Banking platform as well as moving from traditional monolith into micro services.

You will have significant experience as an Engineer and currently as an Engineering Manager, leading development teams in a Product environment.

Although not a hands on role, you do need to have a strong understanding of Java 11, Spring boot, Javascript (ideally React.js), REST APIs and micro services architecture. Experience implementing, setting up or working within CI and CD environments, adopting TDD and working closely with DevOps is also required.

You will work with the broader team of developers helping define the technology vision, define the standards against which the team work, and push the boundaries of how the team design, develop, test and release.

Previous experience working in Front office Banking domains/investment banking would be highly advantageous too.
