Project Engineer – Process / FMCG
£300 - £350 per day (LTD)
6 Month Contract

My client provides design and project management services for process plant projects in a range of industries including food, beverage, chemical, health & beauty, pharma and more.

They are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to handle all technical aspects of one of two projects they are due to start.

The role of the Project Engineer will include:

• Work from the P&ID produced by the process engineers
• Specifying the third-party equipment required for the project, this could be valves, pipework, tanks, heat exchangers, control panels and more
• Work closely with the internal teams on the products manufactured inhouse
• Go out to tender with suppliers
• Create delivery schedule for the equipment
• Manage the mechanical design workflow to make sure the 3D modelling is accurate
• Carry out mechanical calculations
• Be the technical contact for the client and manage any queries that arise
• Oversee the installations onsite managing the sub-contractors

The successful candidate will come with the following skills and experience:

• Experienced Project Engineer who has taken responsibility for technical aspects of projects from start to finish
• Previously worked in Food, Beverage, Brewing, Healthcare, Pharma, FMCG
• Able to produce engineering calculations such as pump and tank sizing
• Strong planning and organisational skills
• Site supervisory experience
