Blockchain Engineer Remote

Apply

Job Description:

Location; Fully Remote

‘Blockchain’ is quickly becoming part of the global zeitgeist, as cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin make national headlines and a lot of people a lot of money.

It’s exciting and interesting.

At the heart of blockchain technology is the ideal that payment and trading systems can, and for some, should be, decentralised and easily trackable.

The company I’m working with have a platform that enables everyone to trade literally any digital asset, ranging from music to metal, and, of course, currencies.

They are a collaborative bunch from all different disciplines, but all have a love for blockchain tech that will revolutionise the way people buy and sell things.

I am now looking for a number of Blockchain Engineers to join them to integrate various different coins onto their platform initially, and then in the medium term, to start working on their other product offerings, such as their new, shiny debit card.

In a nutshell, I am looking for someone with lots of python development experience (with TDD as standard practice), and a love for Blockchain.

Ideally, you’ll have worked on software development for the cryptocurrency market before, on advanced subjects such as distributed ledgers, smart contracts and REST service anatomy. You’ll have a good understanding of blockchain daemons such as bitcoind, Geth and OpenEthereum.

They are all very big proponents of a great work/ life balance- even the manager closes his laptop at 5pm and isn’t contactable until the next day! So, they don’t just preach, they practice it, too.

The role is completely remote, and they are hiring across Europe.
