About you

● You are a creative, passionate, and intelligent person who loves building things

● You will have extensive experience working in Agile environments with strong HTML, CSS, JavaScript, NodeJS, TypeScript, ReactJS skills. A good knowledge of AMP would be advantageous.

● You will know what it takes to make a website scale and perform at rocket-like speeds

● You will have a real can-do attitude, drive and talent to work in a fast-paced collaborative

Environment

● You will be able to analyse, debug and diagnose code quickly and efficiently

● Be able to test and write test for new features - both functional and non-functional

Purpose

The role of the Senior Engineer will be responsible for developing new and existing products, and will include the following:

● Building features to be used by millions of people everyday

● Estimation of work before undertaking development

● Writing tests to ensure code quality

● Working to improve the efficiency and performance of the core product

● Debug and fixing issues

● Code reviews, coaching and mentoring, helping to improve best practice

● Review and refactor services to reduce tech debt and improve site performance

Skills

● Professional software development experience within a web environment

● Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript

● Experience using React, styled components, API’s, AMP , Typescript, ECMAScript and NodeJS

● Experience working with Agile

● Experience with GIT and Agile management tools (e.g. Jira, Clickup)

● Excellent communication skills and comfortable participating in engineering discussions

Desirable
