Sustainability Asset Manager needed in Enfield paying between £48,078.00 and £61,497.00 pa PAYE - Reference:492134

This role will involve:

  • Lead on the development and implementation of a Sustainability Strategy for Housing Assets.
  • Lead on the development of sustainability design and performance standards for new developments and existing housing stock.
  • Identify opportunities and prepare applications for funding to support the environmental and sustainability goals.
  • Act as the Directorates sustainability champion and attend internal and external boards, in furtherance of the roles key objectives.
  • Lead on the identification and integration of new and emerging technologies to support climate change objectives.
  • As Sustainability Lead for retrofit and new initiatives, work with Teams across Place to develop a wider knowledge of the stock and the ability to identify, prioritise and programme investment works that deliver long-term sustainability objectives, with a focus on affordability and value for money.
  • Liaise with the Regeneration Team concerning carrying out viability surveys of areas such as garage sites to identify potential infill sites suitable for redevelopment and greening.
  • Prepare viability and options appraisal reports based on asset information gathered identifying and promoting environmental sustainability investment opportunities including the decarbonisation strategy and the use of new technologies to promote sustainability and energy efficiency improvements including opportunities for greening and social value projects, within the budget constraints set by the HRA business plan.

Ideally candidates will have:

  • Qualifications or experience of BREEAM, CRESB and SKA assessments and SAP calculations.
  • An undergraduate degree in Engineering or Environmental/Sustainability discipline or the ability to demonstrate the relevant experience to carry out the role.
  • Member of a professional body such as EMA or CIBSE and experience of working to ISO 14001.
  • Experience of undertaking stock condition surveys including HHSRS and RDSAP Energy information in Council or Social Housing.
  • Extensive knowledge of managing and reporting data from an asset database such as Apex and hand-held technologies for stock surveying.

This is a full time role on a permanent contract basis
