Community Engagement Officer needed in Bedford £15.00 per hr PAYE - Reference: 5205606

This role will involve: 

• Identifying and mapping key communities, demographics, groups, leaders and influencers.
• Building understanding of the Council’s overall health and wellbeing issues, based on data and insight, and establishing the pressing health inequalities facing those communities.
• Connecting with our underserved communities, building and strengthening relationships to address Covid-19 challenges and supporting improved outcomes
• Engaging with underserved communities to increase understanding of Covid-19 guidance, maximise vaccine take up, increase community testing take up and to ensure council communications address these issues in a range of ways.
• Raising awareness on infection prevention and improving minority ethnic groups and hard to reach communities’ understanding of Covid-19 messaging, building relationships to support the health inequalities work.

This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
