Business Support Officer needed in Southampton Paying  £12.59 per hr ref 5246910

Full time hours on a temporary basis

  • To be the first point of contact, with excellent communication and administrative skills to support our customers through a range of contact channels, in writing, through online (e mails) and letters, over the telephone, digitally (social media) and face to face.
  • To have a good understanding of the MS 365 suite to enable administrative tasks, and the ability to learn and adopt service specific systems.
  • The ability to be person orientated, show empathy and understanding whilst taking ownership to resolve service centre issues and queries.
  • Excellent record keeping with high attention to detail, to provide updates to customers and log requests in a timely manner through our IT systems, adhering to GDPR.
  • Handle financial activities, such as processing orders, recharges, taking payments, and setting up payment plans to ensure fair and timely payment to the council.
  • To contribute towards a digital first culture, by handling e mails productively and being knowledgeable, to educate people on digital channels, ensuring it is the first choice for most of our customers, to help create effective channel shift.
  • To take personal responsibility for resolving queries accurately, within timescale and look at ways we can continuously improve.
  • To work pro-actively as part of a multi-skilled team, flexing between telephony, administration and online channels when needed.
