The successful candidate will join the Project Delivery Capability team as a Project Manager, sitting within the Programmes Directorate. The team is committed to delivering a wide range of Business Change, lifecycle and transformation projects in support of the Met Office and its Business activities. Our assignments cover areas such as IT Services and Property Management, and including projects such as software & hardware upgrades, office refits and the implementation of our Next Generation Supercomputer.

The role involves leading and controlling medium risk projects to deliver business change in support of the Corporate Plan. You will be responsible for leading projects from initiation through to successful conclusion. Our PM’s are involved in a wide range of areas and our current demand is for a project Manager experienced in software rollouts. Your primary project will be to test and launch Windows 11 as the successor of Windows 10 across our estate. You may also be asked to coordinate smaller software related projects concurrently, such as delivery of a new recruitment applicant tracking System.
