Bereavement Officer / Admin needed in Bedford, £11.44ph PAYE - Reference: 5247586

  • Be present at interments as required to assist mourners and the Funeral Director whilst funerals are taking place. Ensure all legal requirements are adhered to by those attending the funeral. Provide a sympathetic, caring and efficient service to both visitors and mourners.
  • Ensure the accuracy of burial and cremation documents. Maintain systems and records, both electronic and paper of all work activities in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Ensure the buildings and grounds at both sites are maintained to a high standard of tidiness and cleanliness consistent with their use for funeral services and by the bereaved.

  • Receive the bereaved and assist them with any request or query in a sensitive, caring and efficient manner. Foster a positive, supportive and caring public image and ensure the public using the service are received in a courteous and sensitive manner.

 

This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
