The Day Services operate Monday-Friday and the Kitchen Assistant hours will be 9am – 2pm. 2 X Kitchen Assistants – Integrated Day Services

Role purpose

Based in a Day Service for adults with an assessed care and support care need. This will include people with a learning disability and older people who have specialist and complex needs which may include autism, dementia, distressed behaviour and a variety of complex health conditions.

These roles will support the day to day operation of the integrated day services teams and help to maintain safe staffing levels whilst the service is undergoing a review.

Key Skills Requirements

· Experience of working within a large kitchen setting

· Working in a training environment alongside vocational instructor

· Food Hygiene Certificate

· Good understanding of safety within a kitchen environment

· Caring and supportive skills and values

· Good communication skills

Person Type

· Works well as part of a team

· Use initiative and follow instruction

· Fun loving, outgoing, enjoys working with people

References Required

Enhanced DBS required as the role has direct access to adults with care and support needs

Start as soon as possible

Hourly rate - £13 per hour

Number of days per week - 5 days per week – 9am – 2pm (some flexibility can be negotiated)

Contract duration – 3 months (will be reviewed with the possibility of further extension)
