Pension Liaison Team Manager needed in Bradford £18.53ph PAYE - Reference:5188410

This role will involve:

  • The post holder may be required to work interchangeably in more than one team. His/her duties will be determined by the team to which he/she is assigned at the time.
  • The post holder may be required to:
  • Respond appropriately to service requests across a range of functions.
  • Carry out inspections, audits and surveys of dwellings to assess their condition as a prerequisite for their maintenance, repair, adaptation or improvement; and, applying the housing health and safety rating system, to eliminate any serious risks to the health of the occupants.
  • Prepare plans, specifications, design schemes, schedules of work, tender documents and contracts as may be required for maintenance, repair, improvement, and adaptation works upon which decisions as to the approval and payment of grants, loans and other capital expenditure to the total value of £5m are made.
  • Provide advice to owners and occupiers on the maintenance, repair, improvement, and adaptation of their properties, the sources of financial assistance available, and the employment of reputable contractors.

Ideally candidates will have:

  • Demonstrate an ability to interpret, understand and utilise complex technical information, legislation and sources of operational guidance relevant to the full range of Housing responsibilities.
  • Able to provide clear verbal and written high level technical advice to a wide range of specialist and non specialist audiences, including assisting clients to comply with legislative requirements
  • Able to carry out inspections, audits and surveys of dwellings to assess their condition as a prerequisite for their maintenance, repair, adaptation or improvement
  • Able to prepare plans, specifications, design schemes, schedules of work, tender documents and contracts as may be required for maintenance, repair, improvement, and adaptation works to domestic properties
  • 3 years experience of working in the building construction or housing maintenance industry or in a public, private or voluntary sector organisation delivering housing maintenance or housing enforcement.
  • BTEC Higher National Certificate in Building Studies, Building Construction, Construction Studies, Construction Technology or Structural Surveying OR an alternative construction related qualification at a similar level within the Framework for Higher Education Qualifications.

This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
